TERMS &
CONDITIONS.
Effective Date: March 17 2025
Welcome to Kribs for Kritters Rabbit Rescue and Sanctuary. By using our website, submitting an adoption or volunteer application, making a donation, or otherwise engaging with our services, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.
1. General Terms

-
Kribs for Kritters Rabbit Rescue and Sanctuary is a privately operated rabbit rescue committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption of domestic rabbits.
-
These terms apply to all users of our website, potential adopters, volunteers, donors, and any individual engaging with our organization.
-
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. The most recent version will be posted on this page.

2. Adoption Terms

By submitting an adoption application and/or adopting a rabbit from Kribs for Kritters Rabbit Rescue and Sanctuary, you agree to the following:

2.1 Adoption Process

-
All adoptions require completion of the following steps:
-
Pre-Adoption Interest Form
-
Basic Rabbit Knowledge Quiz
-
Adoption Questionnaire
-
Pre-Adoption Phone Interview
-
Home Setup Approval (with photo submission)
-
Meet and Greet with the Rabbit
-
Signing of the Adoption Contract
-

-
We reserve the right to approve or deny any adoption application at our discretion if we determine the home environment is unsuitable.

2.2 Housing & Care Requirements

-
Rabbits must be housed indoors only, within the adopter’s residential living space. Outdoor enclosures, garages, barns, schools, and places of business are not permitted.
-
Minimum enclosure sizes:
-
Single rabbit: 6' x 4'
-
Bonded pair: 8' x 4'
-
Additional bunny-proofed run space is required.
-
-
Adopters must provide:
-
Unlimited fresh hay as the primary diet.
-
Fresh vegetables and rabbit-safe pellets daily.
-
A litter box setup with safe bedding (no cedar or pine shavings).
-
Proper veterinary care when needed.
-
-
Rabbits must never be declawed or subjected to unnecessary surgical procedures.

2.3 No-Adoption Policy for Homes with Children

-
We do not adopt rabbits into homes with children. Rabbits require a calm, predictable environment, and we have found that homes with children often do not align with their long-term care needs.

2.4 Returns & Rehoming Policy

-
If an adopter is unable to keep the rabbit, they must return the rabbit to Kribs for Kritters Rabbit Rescue and Sanctuary. Rehoming, selling, or surrendering the rabbit to another party is strictly prohibited.
-
Due to limited foster space, returned rabbits may be placed on a waitlist until space becomes available.
-
Adoption fees are non-refundable.

2.5 Bonding with Existing Rabbits

-
If adopting a companion for an existing rabbit, the adopter’s rabbit must be spayed/neutered for at least one month prior to introductions.
-
Bonding must be conducted under proper supervision, and Kribs for Kritters Rabbit Rescue and Sanctuary offers support to ensure a successful process.

3. Volunteer Terms

By applying to volunteer, you agree to the following:
-
Volunteers must be 18 years or older unless otherwise approved.
-
Volunteers must follow all safety protocols and care guidelines provided by the rescue.
-
Volunteers engaging in transport or handling of rabbits assume full responsibility for their personal safety and agree to waive liability against Kribs for Kritters Rabbit Rescue and Sanctuary in case of injury or accident.
-
We reserve the right to terminate a volunteer’s participation at any time.

4. Donations & Sponsorships

-
All donations to Kribs for Kritters Rabbit Rescue and Sanctuary are voluntary and non-refundable.
-
Sponsorship donations help fund the care of rabbits but do not grant ownership or special privileges over any specific rabbit.
-
Donors acknowledge that contributions may be used for general operations, including medical care, food, and housing.
