VOLUNTEER WITH US.

Hop in, where tiny paws leave big impressions.

Kribs for Kritters Rabbit Rescue and Sanctuary is powered by compassion—and that means people like you. Volunteers are the heart of our organization, playing a critical role in the daily care, enrichment, and wellbeing of the rabbits we rescue. Whether you're cleaning enclosures, delivering supplies, helping with adoption events, or simply sitting quietly with a shy rabbit, your time and effort directly improves lives.

RESCUE. EDUCATION. ADVOCACY. ADOPTION.

WHY

VOLUNTEER?

Volunteering is more than just helping—it’s about making a lasting difference. Every hour you give supports our mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abandoned, neglected, or unwanted rabbits. It's also a chance to learn about proper rabbit care, build meaningful connections, and be part of a community dedicated to animal welfare.

By volunteering, you:

  • Help provide clean, safe, and enriching environments for our rabbits

  • Contribute to lifesaving work by supporting daily operations

  • Learn about rabbit behavior, diet, health, and handling

  • Experience the joy of earning a rabbit’s trust and affection

  • Play an active role in promoting compassion and humane education

WHAT DO

VOLUNTEERS DO?

There are many ways to get involved, depending on your skills, interests, and availability. Some of the roles we rely on include:

  • Daily Care: Cleaning enclosures, refilling hay and water, scooping litter boxes, and tidying spaces

  • Rabbit Socialization: Spending time with rabbits to build trust, comfort shy individuals, and provide enrichment

  • Event Support: Assisting with adoption events, educational booths, or fundraisers

  • Transport Help: Driving rabbits to and from vet appointments, foster homes, or supply pick-ups

  • Administrative Support: Helping with data entry, outreach, follow-up emails, or donation processing

  • Creative Projects: Photography, videography, graphic design, or content writing to help promote adoptable rabbits and rescue efforts

  • Foster Care: Providing a temporary home for rabbits who need extra support or space

WHO CAN

VOLUNTEER?

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old to work with us directly. Due to the specific handling, safety protocols, and care needs of our rabbits, we do not allow volunteers under the age of 18. All volunteers must be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working around animals in a calm, focused environment. Prior experience with rabbits is helpful but not required—we’re happy to provide training to those who are committed to learning and supporting our mission.

THE IMPACT OF

YOUR TIME.

Every moment spent volunteering adds up to real change. A clean pen means a healthier rabbit. A calm voice helps a nervous bunny feel safe. A social media post can lead to a forever home. Your efforts ripple outward—not just into the lives of our rabbits, but into the community, helping to educate others and advocate for better treatment of all animals.
